I think its fair to say that we’ve all hit the threshold of endurance for another lengthy box-set or a wacky Zoom version of something otherwise tedious.
Twentysix Recruitment has decided to step in and bring some much-needed sanity back the proceedings, helping you refocus the mind and look ahead to when things finally get going again!
We’ve been busy sniffing out some of the free Catering and Hospitality based training, to help you either brush-up and refresh your existing skills/ qualifications or learn even something new!
Below you will find a selection of training by following the relevant links and instructions. Enjoy!
Although you may be called many things during your life, we are not referring to those types of labels. We are in fact referencing a free course by the Food Standards Agency. It is no longer just the responsibility of the Chef or Catering Assistant to ensure correct labelling of food in the kitchen but all Hospitality staff that work with food regularly.
Cook and Chill
Not a revision of the Netflix version, but instead, information covering the fundamental aspects of cooking food to the correct temperature and safely cooling and chilling for storage. (Not as exciting as the Netflix version, I know!)
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any more exciting, we hit you with this! Four modules based around the safe handling and microbiology of vacuum packing in a commercial food environment. I couldn’t find and exciting images of vacuum-packed products (I know, right!?) so I thought Hetty would be better. Isn’t she pretty!
While you explore some of the sessions listed in this feature we are beavering away to bring you some more tasty training treats in the next blog edition at the end of May (I bet you can’t wait!)
In the meantime, we are always seeking new catering talent in preparation of post-lockdown, so if you have catering experience we want to hear from you!
