Contract Catering Jobs

A broad, varied industry type occurs when a company or business outsources their catering to a contractor, who is then responsible for all aspects of the foodservice delivery, including food production, staffing and equipment.

Contract catering is found in a multitude of different types of businesses, from Carehomes, Schools, Higher Education to Hospitals, Prisons to Bluechip company offices and Factories. Working hours can vary in-line with the kind of establishment you are working, but typically it’s considered to be regulated hours with no split shifts.

The traditional roles found in this sector are Chef Manager, Sous Chef and Chef de Partie, Commis or Apprentice Chef, General Assistant and Kitchen Porter. Depending on the location, there may also be some Food Service Assistants and Hospitality Staff.
