Education / Schools Jobs

A busy, volume lead sector of catering covering anything from Nursery, Pre-school to Infant and Primary Schools through to Secondary and Higher Education. Fixed mealtimes and a short service window mean that things get hectic, very fast, so preparation and organisation are the critical elements to a role in these environments.

Menus are nutritionally balanced using government guidelines for Children’s meals and followed without deviation. Customer Service, Communication and Teamwork are attributes that work well here.

Typical roles within the kitchen are Cook or Unit Manager, Kitchen Assistant and General Assistant.

To work in a school, you will need an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or be registered for the DBS Update Service.

You can apply for a DBS through Twentysix recruitment before starting placement. For further information talk to one of our consultants.
