Permanent opportunities within this government-based facility may also become available. Key Responsibilities:Leadership: Manage a team of 6-8 chefs, who, in turn, supervise their own small teams. Be a motivating and mentoring figure, showcasing your ability to lead a large team effectively. Meal Provision: Contribute to providing three meals per day, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Compliance: Be responsible for ensuring HACCP, allergen, and dietary regulations are meticulously followed for the safety and well-being of all.Operational Management: Oversee the setup and clearance of each service efficiently.Ordering: Take charge of ordering necessary supplies, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.Safety and Security: Conduct essential safety and security checks, maintaining a challenging yet rewarding environment.Skills and Experience:Culinary Expertise: Demonstrate a skill level comparable to a Head Chef, very strong Senior Sous Chef, or Chef Manager, ideally with a background in Mass Catering.Managerial Prowess: Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills to effectively lead a team and navigate challenges with a calm and composed demeanor.In return, you'll receive competitive hourly pay rates as follows:Monday to Friday: £19.00 per hour, plus £2.29 per hour in holiday accrual.Saturday: £23.75 per hour, plus £2.53 per hour in holiday accrual.Sunday: £28.50 per hour, plus £3.43 per hour in holiday accrual.Additional Benefits:Work Remuneration: Get paid weekly every Friday.Pension Scheme: Access to a company pension scheme.
