Offering longer hours than a regular school catering role, you will work within a catering team at a brand new education centre, making sure that vibrant meals are served with a smile and that the kitchen and dining area are operating efficiently. Day to Day Tasks:Be involved with food preparation and cooking meals to established recipes, portion sizes and dietary requirements. This includes chopping, peeling and slicing ingredients as well as assembling ingredients for recipes.Assist with set up and service of a variety of hot and cold meals. This includes making sure each dish looks great and stays at the right temperature.Take responsibility of basic washing up duties keeping kitchen tools and dishes clean and organised. Wash, rinse, and sanitise utensils and tableware to maintain a hygienic workspace.Follow food safety rules closely and work closely with the kitchen team to make sure everything runs smoothly.What we need from you:Able to work long shifts, up to 10 hours, while standing. These will be part of a 7 day operation covering 365 days of the year.Exhibit professionalism, respect, and a positive attitude.Kitchen/Catering experienceDue to the working environment, you will need to have a food hygiene certificate, allergen certificate and already have a DBS, or be willing to undergo a DBS clearance.
