Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals based on specific dietary requirements and established recipes. Ensure meals are visually appealing, delicious, and prepared in accordance with portion control guidelines.

Serving and Clearing: Serve meals to residents and staff and assist with clearing tables to maintain a clean and tidy dining area, creating an enjoyable mealtime experience.

Special Dietary Needs: Collaborate with the team to understand and accommodate specific dietary needs, including allergies, intolerances, or modified textures.

Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to strict hygiene and food safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. Properly handle, store, and dispose of food items.

Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock rotation, and notify the Kitchen Manager of any shortages or items nearing expiration to ensure a well-stocked kitchen.

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS: Possess an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, or be willing to undergo the necessary checks, to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.

Previous Experience: While prior experience in a similar catering role is desirable, it is not essential. We welcome candidates with a genuine interest in providing excellent service to our residents.

Team Player: Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Reliable and Flexible: Display reliability and flexibility in terms of working hours, as the position requires availability during mornings and early afternoons.

Food Hygiene Knowledge: Basic understanding of food hygiene practices is preferred, although further training will be provided to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
